ParentChill, for schools
We take what your school already sends parents and put it into one dated list of what each child needs and when. We are asking to connect through Wonde, which you already use.
What we need from you
One approval in Wonde, and nothing else. Wonde sends you the request through the same portal you use to approve every other app that reads your MIS. It is one click from your side.
- Nothing to install.
- Nothing to pay. Parents subscribe directly; the school is never billed.
- No staff training, and no new system for your office to run.
- We are not a replacement for ParentPay, Arbor, Satchel or anything else. We read what they already send and put it in one place.
Why a parent asked for this
A secondary school issues a parent somewhere between four and fifteen separate systems. Homework in one, payments in another, parents evening in a third, letters in a fourth. The thing that mattered is usually on the one they did not open that week.
That is not a criticism of the school. Each of those systems is there for a reason and most of them are good at their job. It is simply that nobody owns the parent's side of it.
Data protection
We are a data controller, not a processor. We combine what we receive with what the parent forwards us and we decide what happens to it, so we say so plainly rather than offering you an Article 28 processing agreement that would not describe what we do.
What follows from that, and what we will send your data protection officer on request:
- A data protection impact assessment.
- A draft data sharing agreement, not a processing agreement.
- What we receive, how long we keep it, and how a parent erases it.
The parent has signed up and is paying before anything is requested. This is a disclosure to a service that the child's own parent has asked for, rather than a cold third party share, and your lawful basis to disclose is yours to decide. We are not going to tell you what it is.
